Our Commitment to Accessibility

We Care Rehab is committed to meeting the accessibility needs of persons with disabilities in a timely manner and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and Ontario's accessibility laws.

Accessible Customer Service

We are committed to providing accessible customer service to people with disabilities. This means that we will provide services to people with disabilities with the same high quality and timeliness as others.

  • We welcome people with disabilities and their service animals on our premises.
  • We welcome people with disabilities who use assistive devices on our premises.
  • We will communicate with people with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability.
  • People with disabilities may use their own personal assistive devices when accessing our services.
  • We permit service animals and support persons to accompany people with disabilities.

Accessible Formats & Communication Supports

Upon request, We Care Rehab will provide or arrange for the provision of accessible formats and communication supports for persons with disabilities. We will consult with the person making the request to determine the suitability of an accessible format or communication support.

Our Facilities

  • All clinic locations are wheelchair-accessible at ground level or with accessible ramp and elevator access.
  • Accessible washrooms are available at all locations.
  • Examination and treatment areas accommodate wheelchair users and persons with mobility aids.
  • Accessible parking is available at or near all clinic locations.
  • Signage is clear and easy to read with appropriate contrast.

Training

We Care Rehab provides AODA and accessibility training to all employees, volunteers, and persons who provide goods, services, or facilities on behalf of the organization. Training is provided as part of orientation for new employees and ongoing for all staff.

Feedback can be provided in person, by telephone, in writing, or by email. All feedback will be reviewed and responded to within a reasonable timeframe.

Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

We Care Rehab has developed a Multi-Year Accessibility Plan outlining our strategy to prevent and remove barriers and meet our obligations under AODA. The plan is reviewed and updated at least once every five years.

  • Ongoing evaluation and improvement of physical accessibility at all clinic locations.
  • Continued training of all staff members on accessibility standards and practices.
  • Regular review of our website and digital content for WCAG 2.0 Level AA compliance.
  • Integration of accessibility considerations into all procurement and planning decisions.
